COLLECT BOX TOPS

Did you know that every BOXTOP collected earns money for our school?   This summer we would like you to work hard to collect box tops. The money we earn will go toward a basketball hoop on our K/1 playground!

BOXTOPS:  Every completed BOXTOP sheet is worth $5.00.  If every child from Georgetown (approx 570) fills  one sheet this summer, our school will earn $2,750.   Many thanks to Lori Simpson and all of you who are on her team of BOX TOP counters, trimmers and packers.  This is a great program that pays off because of all of YOU! Download your form here:  Summer Box Tops

Congratulations, Mrs. Totten!

Mrs. Totten, our incredible STEAM STUDIO teacher, has been selected as one of the Air Zoo’s Science Innovation Hall of Fame Educator Excellence Awardees!

Mrs. Totten excels as a teacher who implements curriculum that grows passionate learners.  Students in her classroom utilize Project Lead the Way materials  — and their K-5 participation grows each student into an innovative, creative designer and problem solver.

We feel honored to work with Mrs. Totten every day — and as a staff, we are thrilled that she is being recognized!

If you would like a sneak peak into the Mrs. Totten’s classroom, check out her STEAM STUDIO BLOG.

Middle School Music Program Information

Is your fifth-grader interested in participating in one of the music programs in middle school?

Click here for information on the band, choir, and orchestra programs offered to middle school students in Hudsonville and how to determine which program or instrument might be a good fit for your child. Please take the time to review this information as there have been some changes to the process this year. Most notably, instrument fittings and choir information will be available during the evening meeting times rather than during the school day.

Snow Day

We have another SNOW DAY today.  Please encourage your child to do at least 30 minutes of learning (see below).  Thanks to our AMAZING PTC (made possible by your WALK•A•THON Donations), $10 Barnes and Noble Gift Card (one per grade) will be given to randomly drawn students.

AND EXTRA special INCENTIVE:

Mrs. Reagan will throw pizza party for the classroom that has the MOST PARTICIPANTS in SNOW DAY LEARNING.   She will look at who has participated over all the snow days (last Friday, today …. and maybe other days this week) and the class with the most students who participate will get a PRINCIPAL PIZZA PARTY!
