Pizza Hut Reading Program
Calendars are going home this week for the Book It Pizza Hut Reading Program. The BOOK IT! Program is all about turning kids who read because they have to, into kids who read because they WANT to. Through BOOK IT!, your child has the opportunity to earn a certificate for a free Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut by filling out this calendar and by meeting monthly reading goals that are set. Return this calendar at the end of the month to receive this certificate. There is no
purchase necessary and the pizza can be taken to go. HAPPY READING!!
Hi everyone!
Just a reminder that our Walkathon will be on Thursday, Sept. 25. This is fundraiser put on by our PTC, and the money raised allows them to support learners and teachers at Georgetown in so many awesome ways. Donation sheets and envelopes were sent home with students last week. Fifth grade classes will be walking at 10:35 AM, and we will walk for about 30 minutes. It looks like we will have a beautiful day to walk.
We are very excited to start the new school year! Please remember to join us for one of our Open Houses this week. The schedule is as follows:
- PK Monday, August 25 @ 6:30 pm
- K Tuesday, August 26 @ 6:30 pm
- Grades 1-5 Wednesday, August 27 @ 6:30 pm
At all three open houses, we will be collecting donations for POPCORN DAYS. Each month, parent volunteers provide popcorn to all our students as a special treat. Popcorn Fridays (one per month) are FAVORITE DAYS in our building. Popcorn parents are ROCKSTARs! Your OPEN HOUSE donations allow us to offer popcorn free of charge to ALL students. Please DONATE. The container will be in the rotunda.

Tomorrow, Friday 3/28/14, is DRESS LIKE A PE TEACHER. We are doing this to celebrate our PE teachers (Mrs. Nienhuis and Mrs. VanKoevering) and all the GEORGETOWN RUNNERS (Hudsonville Running Club and Girls on the Run) for their daily/weekly training for the upcoming races.

PTC NEWS……..Box Top BOX TOPS…… The next Box Top Competition will be ending on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14! Make sure you are collecting your Box Tops and when you send them in make sure the Student Name/Teacher Name and NUMBER of Box Tops is on the bag!! This is a huge help to the volunteer moms who count all of our Box Tops : ) There will be another collection for after Spring Break : )
