Week of March 2nd
Miscellaneous:
- If your son/daughter is a safety, please have them check around for a safety belt or two because we do not have enough safety belts at school for our current safeties.
- All the 5th graders will be going to the Grand Rapids Museum and Planetarium on Friday, March 13th. The students will need to bring a sack lunch on that day. If you wish to chaperone, please return the chaperone slip by Tuesday, March 3rd.
Math:
- We will testing on Unit 5 on Tuesday and then reviewing what we have learned so far this year. Next week we will begin Unit 6 which is called Operations and Word Problems. Students will be learning how to read and interpret story problems that involve adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing with fractions, decimals and whole numbers.
Social Studies:
- We are learning about the events that led to the Revolutionary War.
Science:
- We will be finishing up the human body systems with a test over all of the systems on Thursday March 5th. Look for review materials to come home early next week.
ELA:
- We will be working on looking at information from a variety of sources and to write an informational piece. This is a review of skills that we have been working on throughout the year.
